Single Layer

Sometimes a card just doesn't need layers and this is one of those. Place an oval mask on the card base and stamp a written word background stamp in Soft Suede ink. Then using a sponge or dauber, sponge around the edge of the oval mask and remove the mask. Using a simple outline stamp, like Serene Silhouettes (127322) stamp the plant with Basic Black ink. I then just inked the bottom of the stamp a few more times lightly and stamped again. Place a bit of green ink on a sponge or dauber and dab over the base of the stamped area. Using Soft Suede again, ink your sentiment and place up in the corner and you are finished.

Watercolor Stain

This is watercoloring pushed up a notch. Stamp your image with versamark and emboss with white embossing powder, then watercolor. I also added Crystal Effects after it dried. Instead of the usual watercolor white paper, I used Soft Suede. SU's colored cardstock is sturdy enough to hold up to watercoloring, if you don't get too carried away with the water, and it gives it an added effect.

Happy Easter Egg Card

Cling Stamp Storage

Thought I would share a storage idea with you today. If you buy your SU stamps in the cling form, then the case comes with them. Or you can purchase the case in a set of 4 ( 119105). On the left side is an adhesive magnet sheet which hold the framelits (127822) that match the stamp set. I purchased the magnet sheets from Oriental Trading. On the right side, after mounting all of the stamps on their labels I stick the frame rubber to the case. This allows me to keep each stamp in place when storing.

Green Hello

Blue Window View

Another nice look from an easy technique!Choose your window shape in two nesting sizes. Mask off the moon and sponge on color. Stamp on your image, (make sure the ink is dry!) then cut the shapes. Put them back together with a bit of space onto the larger window shape. That's IT!
