I have been working on Valentine cards, but have to throw in a different card or project once in awhile. Plus it is in the 30s again today, so I needed a reminder that spring will come! :)
The base of this card is Whisper White, then matted with Calypso Coral. The images are, again, on Whisper White. The flowers are stamped with Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Calyso Coral, and Blushing Bride. Pear Pizzazz worked great for the leaves.
The flowers are stamped with the Petite Petals set. I used the masking technique on this card, so stamp off three of your flowers on a Post-It, making sure to stamp on the sticky area (this is why I love the all over Post-Its!). Cut the images out and place in the stamp case to be used over and over again. I stamped the two turquoise flowers first, placed the mask over the image and added the next color, moving and adding masks as needed. The same thing is done on the inside and the envelope. The sentiment is stamped in Tempting Turquoise, then I sponged Calypso Coral all around the edges, working it almost all the way to the center.
Here is what the inside looks like:
Even though the base is already Whisper White, I created a separate piece of Whisper White to create the inside, repeating the stamping and sponging from the cover. Then add this to the base.
Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Valentine Anniversary
A lot of special couples decide to wed on Valentine's. We have a couple of those couples in our family. This double card fold works perfectly for these celebrations. Here is the one I created for one of those couples who will be celebrating 53 years of marriage, my folks.
The main base is the standard 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". The smaller card is 3 5/8" x 6 1/4", scored at 3 1/8". Both are Real Red cardstock.
Sending Love DSP stack works great for this project. Mat the outside and inside of the base card with different 5 1/4" x 4" pieces, paying attention to the pattern if it has an upright direction. Cut out the border hearts with Real Red Glimmer paper and the Love Notes thinlits. Glue to the left edge, leaving a small edge of the DSP showing on the left side. (NOTE: normally I place the thinlit on the paper side of the glimmer paper to cut, but because of the direction of the hearts, I placed it on the glimmer side for this project.)
Now for the smaller card. Choose another pattern of the DSP stack to mat the inside of the card, 3 3/8" x 2 7/8". Add adhesive to the back of this card. Open the base card and position the front of the smaller one in the center. Fold it closed over the base cover, then close the base card to attach the smaller card to the inside of the base card. This will line it up so that it will all fold together smoothly. Now complete the decorating!
Using the Sealed with Love stamp set (SAVE 10% by purchasing the stamp set and the Love Notes Thinlits together!), and black ink, stamp the corners with the tiny filigree stamp. Center one of the small doilies with the white side up (these are vanilla on the other side!). Stamp the sentiment on Whisper white, using Real Red ink, and punch out with the 2" circle punch. Sponge Real Red around the edge of the circle. Add dimensionals and attach to the center of the doily. Then add the heart and arrow from the thinlits and Red glimmer paper!
Using Real Red ink, stamp the bells from the Seasonal Bells stamp set, and punch out with the bell punch. (Both are still available on our Carry Over list!) Stamp the Happy Anniversary from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set onto Whisper White with Real Red ink. Trim each word out with the paper snips. Using the edge of the dimensionals sheet, trim small strips and add to the backs of the words, adding to the bottom of the bells. Add another arrow and a couple of the hearts from the thinits.
I hope you will give this fold a try, maybe for some of the special couples in your life.
Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Just a Smile
I must admit that when I first saw this set, I wondered why and how one would use it. Then I started seeing samples that just made me smile. So, yes, it was on my next order and it still makes me smile. Here is my first creation which made me smile the whole time that I was creating!
The images are stamped in Black and watercolored on Whisper White (3 1/2 x 5 1/2), using the aqua painter and the following inks, So Saffron, Crushed Curry, Real Red, Smokey Slate, and Tip Top Taupe. The image is then mounted on Basic Black (3 3/4 x 5 1/2), then placed on the base.
I am trying to remember to match the inside of the card and the envelope. So here is what I did for this one:
So this is the Hey, Chick set on page 17 of the Sale-A-Bration brochure and can only be earned FREE!!! I hope you enjoyed this post and that it brought a smile into your life. I think I will be sending more "Just Because" cards, cuz who can't use that in our lives!!!
Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Mediterrean Kitty
This set caught my attention as soon as I saw it, but it also intimidated. But, from other experiences in the past, I knew that if I didn't purchase it, I would regret it, so........
The set is in the Occasions and called Mediterranean Moments.
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but after looking at many samples, I decided to give watercolor a try. I think it turned out okay. What do you think?
The base card is Flirty Flamingo with a mat from Whisper White, which I ran through the Softly Falling embossing folder and sponged Flirty Flamingo around the edge. The image is matted on a Pool Party oval. I stamped the sentiment in black from the Garden In Bloom set, and cut out with a banner thinlit. There is also some stitching around it for definition.
Now for the image which was stamped with black on Whisper White. I then pulled out my aqua painter, ink refills, and ink pads. There are different ways that you can create a paint pallet. One way is to squeeze the pad in the center before opening. This will form a small spot of ink on the inside of the lid. You can also just add a drop of refill of the same color to the lid. OR pull out one of your clear blocks and add a drop of ink from a refill or press the corner of the ink pad onto the block for your pallet.
The flower pot was colored with Tangelo Twist,
plant: old olive and Melon Mambo
chair: crumb cake
flooring: Tip Top Taupe
back drop and sponging around the edge: Pool Party
Kitty: Smokey Slate
Start out lightly and add more color as needed, but take care is using cardstock. Too much moisture will pill. You get more workability on watercolor paper, but I didn't want the texture on this project.
I am anxious to give the other images a try, so look for those to show up on here.
Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Test Tube Valentine
I love these small plastic test tubes to use with treats. If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, the test tubes are still available in a refill kit. Just go to the customer page and click on the Paper Pumpkin, then refills. If you aren't a subscriber, you can join at any time. Just click on the Paper Pumpkin button on the right column. Once you are a subscriber, you can purchase back kits and refills as they become available. You can also skip a month or cancel at any time. I will be sharing the February Kit soon! It is on it's way!
But for now here is my latest project, cased from Jennifer!
I am thinking that I will fill the tube with red hot candies. Do they still make them in the heart shapes???? Guess I will have to find out :) .
The tag is a 2" x 6" piece of the new Sending Love DSP stack, which is on page 15 of the new Occasions catalog. I LOVE this suite!!!!!
Punch one end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, then starting at the other end, score at 3/4", 1 1/2", 4", and 4 3/4". On the center 3/4" areas, punch out a 3/4" circle in the middle for the tube to slip through.
Slip a 4" piece of ribbon through the tag slot and tie a piece of linen thread around it to hold it in place. (I may add a small Happy Valentine's tag to the linen thread.)
For the embellishment, I used a 2 3/8" scalloped punch (retired), a 2" circle, and the two hearts are from the Love Notes Framelits. The larger one is from the same paper stack as the tag and the smaller one is from the red Glimmer Paper. I added the smallest heart with a dimensional and the embellishment is added to the tag with dimensionals, also.
Now all I have to do is add the treat and a couple of glue dots to hold the tube in place and it is ready to give to someone special.
Hope you enjoyed this project and give it a try. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Sealed With Love
I LOVE the bundle used on this card and will be using it a LOT more! It is in the new Occasions catalog on page 14 and 15, Sealed With Love Bundle.
The base card is Whisper White and stamped sentiments with Real Red. The mini envelopes and the inside of the card (so it shows behind the heart edging) is from the Sending Love DSP stack. LOVE this paper stack with several of each pattern! The framelits are used to cut out the envelopes, small card inserts, and the heart edge. I stamped the top edges of the inserts and there are also small sentiments in the stamp set to place on to the mini cards! The heart behind the envelopes is another piece of the framelits cut from Red Glimmer paper.
The heart and top envelope are taped/glued to the base. Dimensionals are added to the other two envelopes to place on the base. Gently fold the hearts of the edging up to give it a little more dimension.
I think you will be seeing a lot more of this set, and not just for Valentines.
Hope you enjoyed your visit and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday!!
I hope that 2017 is being great to you so far!
I so need to get my card inventory built back up! I love to make a special card for special people, but also like to have some on hand for when life gets interesting! Well, guess that is most all of the time, so I had better get busy. I can still make those special ones for a specific person and keep it in my stash, then when life begins to run crazy, I have it ready!
There is a special birthday on the first of the year, so as soon as Christmas was over, I created this one.
The base is melon mambo. The background is from the retired stack called Cherry on Top, cut at 4"x5 1/4". Measure down about half way on the right side, then make a pencil mark in 1 1/2". Score from the mark to each right side corner and fold back, attaching with a small glue dot. Attach to the base and place the sentiment (this one came from the Holiday catalog set called Basket of Wishes, which is still available). Using the Balloon Bouquet punch, punch out three of the larger balloons from contrasting or matching colors. I then taped bakers twine to the back of each balloon and placed these on the card, using dimensionals on one of them. Make small bows and place them on the balloon necks with rolled glue dots. I did the same to hold the bottom of the balloon strings.
Sale-A-Bration is here and so is the new Occasions Catalog! If you would like your own copy and don't already have a demonstrator, I would love to send you one! Just let me know.
If you would like to place an order now, just click on the "online ordering"/catalog button to the right! I would love to send you a hand stamped thank you for ordering.
Have a truly GREAT day, and thanks so much for stopping by!!!
