This card was created with products from last year. I bet you have them in your stash, too, if you enjoy the holidays as much as I do! If you don't have the products, use something you do have. This is a very simple project and the idea could be used in so many ways. Maybe later on I will create a Christmas card with the same layout. But for now....
The base is Pumpkin Pie. The DSP strip is from Halloween Night Specialty DSP, cut at 1 1/2 x 5 1/4. The white strip is 2 1/2 x 4 1/4. Using the web doily, I cut a piece to form the web in the top corner of the white strip, then added the adorable spider (that is a LOT coming from me!! LOL), from the Spooky Fun stamp set. At the bottom I stamped the sentiment from Jar of Haunts. Attach these to the base, bumping them together.
On a scrap piece of white, stamp the jar, drips and candy from the same set. Color it all in with the new watercolor pencils. I used the Bermuda Bay very lightly to color in the background area in the jar. Trim the image with the paper snips or the die, and add to the card with dimensionals. Cut out a small banner and add the happy face! Add this to the card with dimensionals, also. That is it!!!!
I am actually thinking about using my Crystal Effects to cover the jar for even more dimension. What do you think??????
And for the inside, something just as simple:
This stamp came from the Haunt Ya Later set. Here is a small tip: Want a strong ink impression? You can use any of the many stamp positioners available to add layers of stamped images, which all work great, but if you don't have any of them, just ink up your stamp good. Take a look at it to make sure it is evenly covered with ink. Then hold it in place on the card stock for a few seconds. This gives the ink time to be absorbed into the card stock, especially when using the photopolymer stamps.
This is a great fast and simple card to create, so I hope you give it a try using your own stash.
