Snowflake Tri-fold

It has been awhile since I have posted and I hope that you think this one was worth the wait. Just one of the wonderful things I love about Stampin' Up is the willingness of the customers and demonstrators, to share their projects. This is one of those ideas from a fellow demonstrator. I will post her video, because why should I rewrite her wonderful instructions.

Now for my version. I was done with creating Holiday cards, but still wanted to create this one. I looked for a "let it snow" stamp in my mass collection, but none to be found, so I think this one worked from the retired Vintage Verses collection. I think this would make a lovely winter birthday card also! And the inside:

I used Marina Mist for my base and to ink the sentiment. The panels are Whisper White and the extra snowflakes and flourishes are from Marina Mist and Silver Glimmer paper. I am still debating with myself on if I should add more bling to the center of the snowflakes...... What do you think?

I, of course, had to figure out how to make this project from 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock! Here are the measurements I used:

Base card stock: 8 1/2" x 10 1/2, cut at an angle from 3 1/2" on one end to 5 1/2" on the opposite, then scored at 3 1/2" and 7"
Panels are cut the same then trimmed an 1/8" on each side. I didn't trim the bottom, just lined it up 1/8" from the bottom when I positioned the die.

Cut the snowflakes from the small dies, plus cut out some of the strip and trim the large snowflakes from that. Don't throw away the piece that is cut off the strip as I am sure the unique shape can be used on something!!!

Now for Sue's video and a great big THANK YOU to her for sharing!
