Apple post it

This could be a card or I used it to place an apple shaped post it inside. The apple is created with Real Red cardsock with sponging around the edge with Cherry Cobbler ink. The carmel is cut from More Mustard with sponging of the same ink. It is then glued to the apple. For the card, cut a smaller copy of the apple from Whisper White cardstock  and gluing the stick onto the back, insert through the top of the card and attach to the inside. For the post it, you will need to make the "hinge" as wide as the note pad and replace the Whisper White with the pad. Spread a layer of Crystal Effects (101055) around the red part of the apple and let dry.

The template for the card can be found here .

Enjoy! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Out of the box moon

One more Halloween for this year's holiday. This is so simple and fast. The Basic Black card base is 8 1/2" x  3 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". From the Silver Glimmer Paper (124005), cut a 4" x 3 1/4" mat. (The new Champagne Glitter Paper {127885} would work great, too.) Using the 2 1/2" circle punch (120906), punch out a circle from the glimmer paper mat, close to one end. Then moving over a bit, punch out a half of the circle punch, creating the moon. (The full circle can be kept for a future project.) Using a dauber and More Mustard ink, sponge the moon to add some color. Use black ink to sponge around the edge of the silver mat. From Basic Black trim a mat to 3 3/4" x 3". Stamp your image with versamark (102283). Emboss image with white embossing powder (1I09132) and the Heat Tool (129053). I used a retired set on this one. Attach your image to the glimmer paper with glue dots (103683), then add to the card base. Place your envelope under the card. This will give you a guide as to how to position the moon on the card so that it will all fit inside the envelope. Add glue dots to the bottom on the moon and place on the card. Don't forget to decorate the envelope also.

Missed posting yesterday because I had my kids all here. We had a nice time and visit.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

Third vintage

We have our first snow of the season and it is so pretty outside. Luckily, I don't have to go out in it today, so can just enjoy it! :)

This is the last card for this set. The base is again, Very Vanilla, cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", and scored at 4 1/4". The cover is stamped with the pine needles from Watercolor Winter (129724) and Gumball Green ink. then sponge around the edges with Soft Suede. Cut a 5"x 3 3/4" Real Red mat and a 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" mat from Be of Good Cheer DSP (126896). Stamp Season's Greetings from Curly Cute (117014) in Gumball Green onto a 2" x 3 3/4" piece of Very Vanilla. Cut two 1/2" x 3 12" strips from the same DSP package and align on the edges of the sentiment. Color the poinsettia flowers on the stamp from Bells & Boughs (120831 ) with Cherry Cobbler marker onto Very Vanilla, and cut out. Place on the card, using a dimensional for the small flower. Add three small pearls (119247) to the center of each of the large flowers and roughly outline the petals of each flower with Dazzling Details (124117). Add strips of the same DSP to the inside of the card.

Hope you enjoyed these three cards and, as always, thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Holly

This card is built upon a Very Vanilla card base. Using Gumball Green ink, stamp the holly from Bells & Boughs (120831) all over the front. Mat with gumball green cardstock ( 5 1/4" x 4" ), then with Be of Good Cheer DSP (126896) just a bit smaller than the gumball green. I cut strips from the same DSP and taped them to the sides. Wrap a piece of Cherry Cobbler ribbon around the bottom and attach it all to the card base. Stamp another image with Gumball Green ink and expression with Cherry Cobbler ink, from the same set onto Very Vanilla and punch out using the Big Shot and Labels Collection Framelits (125598). Sponge around the edges with Gumball Green and attach with dimensionals.

Hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Christmas

Here is one of my versions of a vintage card. The base is the standard 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" with Very Vanilla cardstock. I used the large tree from Thoughts and Prayers (113252) and Wild Wasabi ink to stamp around the edge of the front, then sponged Soft Suede around the edges. I took two strips ( 1" x 5 1/2" ) of Wild Wasabi cardstock and punched a border with the Scalloped Trim Border punch  (118402) and attached them to the back of a piece of Be of Good Cheer DSP (126896) cut at 2" x 5 1/2". Using the pine branch from Christmas Lodge ( 123767 ), stamp in a circle with Wild Wasabi ink and cut out with the 2 3/8" scallop punch, sponging around the scallops with the same ink. Stamp your sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370). Add a strip of Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (126848) down the center of the DSP. Add dimensionals to the wreath and place on the card. Die a strip* of the Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta ribbon (109070), tie into a bow and position on the card. Cut off the prongs from four Cherry Cobbler brads from the Regal Collection (119737), roll a glue dot and use to place one in each corner of the card. Finish with Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details (125585) to add berries to the wreath and down the center of the ribbon.

* You can die the ribbon by putting a few drops of reinker in a small amount of water and wait for the ribbon to dry. I am too impatient for that, so I just use a dauber and ink pad to color my ribbon. I think I have a bit more control on the depth of color this way, also.

I plan to share a couple more cards similar to this one, so hope you return to see those.

Have a great day and thanks for stoppin by!

Lovely Fall

This card has a Cajun Craze base of 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. The Wild Wasabi mat is run through the Big Shot with the Framed Tulips Folder ( 121809 ) and trimmed close to the embossed edges and sponged along the edges and across the embossing with Wild Wasabi ink. The fall insert is fall colors randomly sponged on to a piece of glossy cardstock (102599 ) measuring 2" x 3". Lovely As A Tree set (115026 ) image was stamped on twice with Black Stazon (101406 ) and matted onto a piece of Basic Black measuring 2 1/8 x 3 1/8. This is placed on the Wild Wasabi mat with dimensionals. Tie a ribbon around the bottom of the mat and stamp your choice of sentiment, the attach to your card base.

This is a real quick card, so hope you give it a try.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Tree card

The card base is Whisper White. The printed mat is from the Festival of Prints DSP paper pack (126904), cut 1/2"from the long side, then 1 1/4" from the bottom. From one of the corners, punch out a star. This spot will be hidden behind the Lucky Limeade mat, cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2". Cut out a tree from the upper part of this mat with the Holiday Collection Framelits (127814). Using a glue dot, place the punched star (I used the same from the framelits) on top of the tree. Stamp the sentiment from Bells & Boughs (120831) with Real Red ink. Position a red ribbon at the bottom and a red brad in each of the top corners. Place dimentionals on the back and position onto the card.

Attach the larger piece of DSP to the bottom on the card on the inside and add the tree. Use the thin stip to decorate the envelope.

If you need more direction, Kay has a great video on her bog .

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Gingerman gift card

This little gift card was created by my grandaughter, so thought it would be fun to share it with everyone. The base is Whisper White, cut at 6" x 3", scored at 3" and folded in half. The designer paper is 2 3/4" square cut from the red Polka Dot Parade DSP (126902). On Whisper White, 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" square, she stamped the gingerbread image from Scentsational Season ( 121026 ) with Chocolate Chip ink and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370) and stamped with Real Red Ink. That is all there is to it!

Hope you enjoy today, and thanks for stopping by!!

Chocolate Rolo Pencil

Wouldn't this make a great teacher's gift as well as a nice suprise for the little ones!

First cut a 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" Daffodil Delight. Cut one end off slightly with pinking shears for the "sharpened" end of the pencil, then score the long way every 1/4". Sponge on some More Mustard ink to give it a little more dimension. At this point you can add a small message with something from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set (115370), lining it up on the grooves like you would see print on a real pencil. Add Snail adhesive (104332) to the inside ends and roll around a Rolo package, letting a bit of the sharpened edge lap over the roll. Seal with Multipurpose Glue (110755) and hold for a bit to dry. You really need a good adhesive to hold this part of the pencil together.

From Pretty in Pink, cut a 3 1/4" x 3/4" strip and punch out a 1" circle (119868). The circle will need to be slightly trimmed to insert into the top of the pencil. Sponge Pretty in Pink ink along one of the long edges of the strip and wrap around the Rolo at the top of the pencil, using the glue to seal, again. Cut a 1/4" strip of silver and wrap over the seam created with the yellow and pink part of the pencil and seal with glue as before. Using a glue dot, add the circle punch to the top of the pencil and add a chocolate kiss for the point.

Hope you enjoyed this, and thanks for stopping by!!!

Magnetic Bookmark

This will make a very special gift to someone who enjoys reading the old fashioned way. ;)

Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper, I used Subtles Collection ( 117152 ) 4 1/2" x 2 1/4", and two pieces of magnetic sheets 2 1/4" x 2 1/8". These can be found in most craft stores. I like the ones with the adhesive backs. Attach the magnets to the back ends of the DSP and run it through the Big Shot (113439 ) with the Two Tags Die (115954 ). This is what it will look like:

The space in the middle allows you to fold it over the page.

To decorate the front, I punched out a garden green 1 3/4" scallop circle ( 119854 ) and stamped the images from Stippled Blossoms ( 126745 ), then punched out with the 1 3/8" circle ( 119860 ). Putting it all together with SNAIL adhesive ( 104332 ).

You could use magnet dots instead of the sheets. Just place one on each end after completing the project.

Enjoy! and thank you for stopping by!

Snowman mints

These are so much fun to make! You just have to smile when they come together! I purchased the bags in the cake decorating supplies area.

Punch six circles out with the 1 3/4" Scallop punch (119854). ( I used Bashful Blue cardstock for this one. ) Sponge matching ink around the edges. Attach one to each side of an individually wrapped peppermint patty with a couple of glue dots ( 103683 ). Punch three circles out of Whisper White with the 1 3/8" circle punch ( 119860 ). Sponge around these edges also with the same ink that you used on the scallop circles. I actually used a retired set, but you can use the Stylin' Snowfolk set ( 126285 ) to stamp the snowman images onto the white circles. Attach the stamped circles onto the scallop circle with a glue dot and place inside the treat bag. Tie off with a ribbon and add a gift tag if desired and smile.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Fall Milk Carton Favor

Here is a fast and easy gift idea. Using the milk carton die (117310 ), cut one out of Very Vanilla cardstock. Stamp with the leaf from Four Seasons ( Hostess: 126830 ) using Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Cajun Craze, and Pumpkin Pie inks randomly. Put the carton together, using Sticky Strip (104294). For the bottom flaps, I try to remember to fold the one on the front of the carton, over last to make it look a bit cleaner. I then used a clip to close the top and added a piece of ribbon. For the tag, I used the daubers (102892 ) to sponge on each of the ink colors used on the carton around the wreath. Breathe on it ( huff all around it ) and stamp. I used markers to color the center bird, stamped it on a piece of scrap, and punched it out with a 1" punch ( 119868 ), added it to the tag with a dimensional ( 104430 )

Add goodies such as chocolate kisses or small gifts.

Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Bells & Boughs Tag

I really love adding layering to my projects and this is one of them. Cut the tag from Pacific Blue cardstock with the Two Tags Die ( 115954 ). Stamp and color three images of the branch and flowers from Bells & Boughs (120831 ), using your favorite medium. (watercolor, color pencils, etc ). Cut one image out and place on the tag with dimensionals ( 104430 ), then cut out the two larger flowers and add to the top of the first with dimensionals, and cut out one more large flower and again add to the tag with dimensioals. I added a drop of Dazzling Details (124117 ) to the center of the flowers and a piece of 5/8" Organza ribbon ( 114319 ) to complete the tag.

NOTE: Before attaching each piece, I gave them a bit more dimension by turning them over on a soft surface (I used a piece of heavy foam) and rubbed with the large end of the stylus to just curl up the edges a bit.

Here is another sample. The only difference is I cut the tag from Real Red, then another one from Shimmer White (101910 ) and trimmed it down with the paper snips (103579 ). I also stamped the image onto the white and layered up from there as before.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Rich Razzleberry Christmas

Christmas crisp is certainly in the air this morning! Brrrrr.

This card is created with Rich Razzleberry and Garden Green cardstock. The card base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2") and the green (cut at 2 3/4" x 4 1/4") are run through the Big Shot (113439) using the Vintage Wallpaper Folder (120175). Using the 2 3/8" Scallop Punch (118874), punch out the bottom of the green piece and attach to the card base. From a scratch piece of paper, punch out with the ornament punch (119847), place this in the punched circle area to position with temporary adhesive. Using this as your guide, punch out the ornament from the card base. This creates the opening on the base. Take the two punched pieces and place them on the inside of the card directly behind the openings on the front of the card, placing the ornament on top of the scallop circle. The sentiment is on Very Vanilla (2 1/2" x 1 1/2", tearing off a bottom strip), using the Bells and Boughs set ( 120831). Tie a ribbon around the card front and add a little glitter. That is it!

Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

Turkey placecard holder

This little guy has a sweet treat, too. From Chocolate Chip cardstock, punch out a 2 3/8" scallop circle (118874) and set it aside. Also punch out the body of the owl from the Owl Builder punch (118074). Using the same punch, use Whisper White for the eyes, Real Red for the heart, and Basic Black for the pupils. Just cut a small triangle from Daffidil Delight. The feathers are from the five petal punch (retired) with More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie.

Build your turkey (trimming off the tufts) and attaching to a pepermint patty with glue dots. Then add glue dots to the back of the patty and lining up two of the scallops with the feet of the owl, attach the scallop. Your turkey will now stand up and you can place a name card between the patty and the scallop.

We have snow in part of the plains this morning, so hope you are all staying warm. Have a great day and as always, thanks for stopping by!

White Christmas

Here's a clean and simple holiday card. The base is Whisper White with the fold at the top
(4 1/4" x 11"). The sentiment is stamped from the Christmas Lodge set (123767) in Night of Navy ink. From Night of Navy cardstock, punch a circle with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle (118874). Using the 1 3/4" circle punch (119850), punch one out of whisper white and cut it in half creating a wavy edge. (Keep the second side for another card.) Run it through the Polka Dot embossing Folder
(117335). Outline the wave and the spots with Multi Purpose glue (110755) and Silver Glass Glitter (120995) and attach it to the scallop circle. From the Holiday Merry minis, punch a star from the Silver Glitter paper (124005) and use a dimensional (104430) place it above the white "snow". Add this to the top of the card.

It is cold and windy in this part of the country so Christmas cardmaking fits right in.

I hope you enjoyed this and thanks for stopping by!

Single layer card

This is created all on the card base, which is bashful blue. Cut a large circle from scrap paper and place over the card stock. I usually tape it down with removeable tape, then sponge into the circle. Load the sponge or dauber from the ink pad and start on the scrap and work circular motions to the inside. Stamp your image and sentiment. I used Thoughts and Prayers (113252). Add a ribbon and a few brads and you have a nice card finished.

It is cold and windy here this morning. Fall is definitely in the air. Too bad I couldn't sleep in, cuz it was definitely a good morning to snuggle into the warm covers!

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!
