Teddy card in a box

These adorable little teddy bears were a free gift with one of my magazines. I knew I had to use them for my daughter, and when I found the card-in-a-box, also knew they would be perfect for one!! What do you think?

If you haven't tried this style of card, you really should. I know that you will even impress yourself! I have other examples and directions in previous posts, so hope you will give it a try. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

More anniversaries

Seems several of my family members decided to get hitched fifty years ago! We have celebrated three of these in as many months. The last picture is the inside of the center picture. This couple was married on Valentine's Day and are my folks.

Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Paper Roses

I really love the look of this card and it is so easy to create. The base is from black cardstock. The background is squares of a print DSP mounted onto squares of black cardstock cut out with decorative scissors (or you could use the postage stamp punch). These are all mounted on a Very Vanilla mat which was embossed with the Lattice embossing folder. I used the Tea Party stamp set and another sentiment placed over the stamped image and mounted with dimensionals. The greens are punched from the build a bird punch.

The roses: Punch out a scallop circle, then cut in a wave, in a circle to the middle(or use the die available in the occasions catty on page 32). Roll the coil from the outside to the inside and glue. (hint: use a glue gun to put a spot of glue on a heat resistant mat and place flower on this to hold) Fold the petals over or flatten with your hand to make it look more realistic. (hint: if you have a quilling needle, it works great for rolling the coil and the petals) I then sponged on a bit of matching ink to add depth. I placed the roses and greens on the card before attaching with glue dots to decide where I wanted every thing.

This type of card I mail in a padded envelope and add a bit of bubble wrap so that the roses don't get flattened. It costs a bit more to mail, but when I send it to a special person, it is so worth it.

I hope you have a great day, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Undefined stamp carving kit

Ever wish you had a specific stamp and unable to find one???? Here is the answer! Stampin' Up has a stamp carving kit that is really easy to use and so much fun!

This was my first carving. I really like it, but don't look too close LOL! I had been wanting a dark silhouette stamp for literally  years and now I have one, PLUS I can say I created it myself!

Most if not all of the panda stamps I have found usually had extra stuff on the stamp that I didn't need, or it was a set that the panda was the only stamp I wanted, so I just finished doing this one today.

Want to know a few tricks that I have already? Take your time and remember that the rubber carves REALLY easy!! Don't cut a square out to carve your stamp. Copy the image then cut it out to save on rubber. After it is done, rough up the rubber with a sanding block for better ink coverage. (you can see the difference with my panda, the darker image is the one after the sanding) Don't forget to clean it after sanding and before inking.

I prefer wood mounted stamps, but if you like the cling mounts, just purchase a package of our cling mount foam sheets and attach your new stamp to that.

I really enjoy doing this, so hope you will give it a try! Don't forget that our Sale-A-Bration is only available until the end of March, so don't miss out on all of the freebies you can earn!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!!
