Sherbet?????

I absolutely LOVE the new In Colors, which will be available beginning June 1, 2016. They include some of my favorite colors (Sherbet comes to mind!) I couldn't wait to start creating with them!
This project includes two of the colors plus one of the new Host Rewards sets. I just wish I could show the true color vibrancy :(

The card base is Peekaboo Peach cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored in the middle at 4 1/4".
The mat is Emerald Envy, cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
The Whisper White is 3 3/4" x 5"

From the Host set, Gift Of Love, I stamped the line image in Emerald Envy, then the flowers in Peekaboo Peach, and finally the leaves and stems again in Emerald Envy. This stamp set gives it a great and easy watercolor effect!

Just realized that I need to add some clear Wink of Stella to the image. I think it will give the image the appearance of dew if placed on the very edges and toward the centers!!

The sentiment is from the same set, stamped in Peekaboo Peach. There are five other sentiments in this set and you will only need to use $10 in Host Rewards!!

I used the small butterfly in the Garden In Bloom set (another GREAT watercolor set!) and Daffodil Delight ink.

I would love to help you receive this Host set. Just contact me for any questions, OR want it now???
As a demonstrator, we are given the opportunity to order some of the new items before they become available to everyone on June 1. I would LOVE to have you join my team!!!!

Have a great day and thanks SO much for coming by!

Triple Easel

As soon as I saw this style of card, I KNEW I had to use my retired What's Brewin' stamp set to create one! And here it is!

The card base is 6" x 9", scored down the long side in the middle at 3". Then on the top half, cut from the edge to the score line at 3" and 6". Score from the outer corner to the inside corner, at the score line, on both end pieces. Score the center square in half at 1 1/2". Crease all score lines firmly with the bone folder.

I used Sahara Sand for the card base and Chocolate Chip for the mats, (3" squares). The stamped images are on Naturals White,( 2 3/4" squares).

The coffee mug and steam are stamped and cut out from Naturals White then added to the square piece with dimensionals to lift it up a bit. So are the beans that hold the easels. I stamped the beans on the Naturals White and cut around them, then glued them to Chocolate Chip and cut around them again, leaving just a small edge. The doily is from a retired punch, cut in half.

I bet you have a great set in your stash to create a triple easel of your own!

This card will fit into a business size envelope, or if like me, you want to create your own with the envelope board, cut DSP to 9 3/4" square and create the first score and notch at 2 3/4".

Here is how the card lies flat:

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Too Much Purple?????

Now that the birthday girl has received this I can share it with you :). She loves purple, me, not so much. So I am sometimes amazed at how well I like something I have created for her. (Shhh, don't tell her I said that! LOL)

This card is actually a bit smaller than a "normal" card, because it is positioned onto a back mat. The mat is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4", which when finished brings the card to a standard size. The Blackberry Bliss card is 10" x 4", scored at 4 3/4. This will leave a 1/2" extension on the right hand side when folded.

Open the card, position and cut out three sides of a framelit shape around 1/2" in from the longer side. I used a banner shape. Close the card and score along the edge between the cuts of the shape. This forms a flap for your card closure. (Snip up to the scored line, if needed). Making sure NOT to glue your flap, adhere the card back to the card mat. The mat shows through the cut out. Decorate as desired. I used the same DSP to cover the front and the strip along the side. Added sentiments and butterflies, and, of course, clear Wink of Stella to the wings for a little bling.

Then create an envelope to match!

This piece of DSP was WAY TOO MUCH purple, so I scored 1/4" around the flap and folded it back on itself, adhering it down with double sided tape.

Hope that you enjoyed this project. Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Grateful for You

FIRST: let me tell you that the Grateful Bunch stamp set is available as a bundle with the Blossom Bunch punch at a discount ONLY until May 31. After that date you will need to purchase them separately.

Now on to the card :) and this is one of my favorites!

The card base is Basic Black, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
I have used a retired piece of DSP (black and white) cut at 5 1/4" x 4". Adhere this down to the cover of the base card.

I stamped an image onto Whisper White cut at 4 3/4" x 3 1/2", using the retired background Dictionary stamp with black Momento Ink AFTER stamping off lightly onto scrap paper so that it wouldn't be so dark. Then using the stamps in the stamp set and the same ink, I stamped the lace along the edge and the stem/leaves onto the right side of the mat. Wrap the linen thread around the side with the lace twice, taping it onto the back. Adhere this to the DSP.

I used a small piece of lace that I had on hand to tape to the bottom of the card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, stamped in black and punched out with the large oval and mounted on Basic Black punched out with the extra large oval punch (BOTH available ONLY til May 31 OR while supplies last.) Place dimensionals onto the back and place over the lace.

NOW for a peek at a couple of the new In Colors! The flowers and butterfly are from the same set and stamped on Whisper White with the Flirty Flamingo (flowers) and Peakaboo Peach (butterfly). Cut the butterfly out and punch the flowers out with the Blossom Bunch punch. Curl the petals upward a bit with the bone folder and bend the butterfly wings up. Using the dimensionals, place them on the card. I added the gold Wink of Stella for the butterfly body and pearls to the center of the flowers.

The new colors will be available on June 1, which is when the new catalog goes into effect. One of the great quirks of being a demonstrator is being able to pre-order some of the new products! I would love to have you join my team OR add you to my customer list! If you have any questions, just let me know. Both options are on the right side. :)

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Sunshine and Butterflies

As you probably already know, I love quick and easy projects. That is one reason I LOVE making cards! And this one fits at the top of both lists.

The base is Crumb Cake, cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

Cut a 3 3/4" x 5" mat from Whisper White.

Ink up the retired Dictionary back ground stamp. Lie the mat piece on top of the ink. Lie a piece of scrap paper (copy paper works great) on top of the stack and using your hand or a brayer, rub across the stamp. Carefully remove your scrap then the mat. (Of course you can use any background stamp or a piece of DSP instead of the cardstock, for this step)

Stamp flowers once, then again without reinking onto the background image. I used the flower from the retired set "Hello There" with Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive inks.

Using the Kinda Eclectic set, stamp off two of the larger butterflies on Whisper White with Elegant Eggplant, just like the flowers, and cut them out. Stamp the sunburst onto a doily along with a sentiment. Place your ribbon around the mat and tape down on the back. Now you can adhere the mat onto the card base. Using liquid glue, place the doily onto the background image. Tie a small piece of ribbon into a knot and using a glue dot, position it onto the ribbon strip. (Don't pull the knot too tightly, so it will lie flatter and mail easier.) Place a small line of glue onto the butterfly bodies and attach to the card, then add three small rhinestones to the bodies for a bit of bling! (You know that has to happen somewhere on my cards!) Don't forget to fold up the wings just a bit for dimension.

I didn't do this BUT, some clear Wink of Stella would look great on the wings!!!!!

And that is it!!!!

I know I used several retired products, so don't let that bother you. If you don't have them, look through your stash. I bet you have something that you can substitute. You may even like it better. That happens to me a lot, even with current products. I see something I really like, but don't have the exact things, so I substitute. I may go ahead and order, but I am way too impatient to wait until an order shows up to create!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Pootles Milk Carton

I really enjoy creating 3D projects. This wasn't always the case, but Sam "Pootles" changed all of that! I was hooked when I found her first project. They are always so easy to follow and great satisfaction when completed. I actually have the retired milk carton die from Stampin' Up, but this one a quick and easy one to create if you don't own the die. As you can see, I pretty well CASEd her project exactly. HERE is her video and pattern information. And here is my version (copy :) )

And here is another. I was sure it was one of Sam's, but I can't find the instructions. I will continue to look and when they are found, I will add the link to this post. :(

GUESS WHAT I FOUND!! Carton and Bag

I feel like I should warn you that her site is very addictive! Her projects are great and look so nice when followed! Have fun!

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Quick and Easy Notepad

I may be getting some of my mojo back! At least for this morning :) This was fun to create!

This is the finished product using some of the retiring products. I also used a couple of retired items, but I bet you can find something in your stash that will work, if you don't have these.

I won't give you specific measurements, because they will depend on your notepad. Measure the width of your notepad, double that and add 1/4" plus the depth of your pad. Measure the length of the notepad and add 1/4". Cut your cardstock to these measurements. This will create the spine and a slight overage for the cover. I used Island Indigo cardstock for my cover. Score in the middle for the depth of your pad (mine was 1/4") for the spine.

Cut a tag out for the closure. I actually used the retired Two Tags die, but you can use any tag shape. Decide where your first score line needs to be by lying it on the top of the cover where you want it to be, then place the second score line the depth of the pad. Glue or tape to the inside of the back cover.

I glued my notepad onto the cover, but you could actually add a strip of cardstock to the back cover to slip the pad through. Then it would be refillable.

I used a magnet closure for mine, so add one side of the magnet to the tag with a glue dot. Mine are actually self-adhesive.

Cut a piece of DSP or cardstock to cover the magnet. I am using the retiring Bohemian DSP.

Cut a mat piece 1/4" less than your cover top and attach it to the cover. Place the other piece of your magnet on top of the one you just positioned. I have left the adhesive on it for this picture so that it is more visible.

Remove the adhesive paper and fold the closure over the cover. This will make a perfect magnet position for closure. Press to attach the magnet to the cover.

This shows the second magnet placed on the mat of the cover.

Cut a piece of DSP 1/4" smaller than the mat and glue to the cover. NOTE: I like to glue the pieces over the magnets. I think it keeps them more secure. If you are using tape, make sure you run it over the magnet to help secure it a bit more.

Close the tag to make sure the closure works correctly and is where you want it to be.

Decorate as desired! I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set with Island Indigo ink for the butterfly, adding pearls for the body. The doily under it is a retired punch from glimmer paper. The sentiment is from the same stamp set in Basic Black ink.

I will be making a lot more of these. What a great thank you gift for the little things people do for you! I hope you will give it a try! I would love to see what you create and what you think about this gift item! How would you use it or who would you give it to? (Teacher appreciation, etc.)

Don't forget that we only have til the end of this month to order the retiring items that are still available! Check out my online store. Then June brings a new catalog with a lot of great new items and a few of the returning favorites.

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Flowering Fields

I know that S-A-B is over, but it is still fun to share projects that are created with our FREE products!! Have you visited Pinterest? It is a wonderful place for ideas and inspiration! Just type in the name of the stamp set you want to use and there are usually lots of samples to browse through! I feel that I should warn you, it can be very addictive, so don't forget to CASE (copy and share everything) or create from the inspiration! I usually start out planning to CASE a project, but usually have to add my own little spin. Here is one of those projects:

The card base is Olive Green, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

Mat from Crumb Cake, 5 1/4" x 4" and run through a crimper. (You could also score every 1/4",         flip over and score between the previous score lines.)

Adhere these two together and set aside.

Stamp the flower images onto Whisper White 4 3/4"x 3 1/2" with Old Olive. I used a blender pen to color in the images with Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Watermelon Wonder. Create an ink pallet by squeezing the ink pad in the center before opening. This will form an ink spot onto the lid which can then be used to color with the blender pen or aqua painter.

Use a sponge to create color for the background. I used Old Olive and Island Indigo. Just dab the sponge into the pool of ink on the lid and pounce it onto the image. Then tear a small edge around, pulling it toward yourself. Stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso from Party Pants.

Adhere this to a 4 3/4"x3 1/2" piece of Early Espresso. Wrap some of the Linen Thread around it and tie into a bow. I thin add a mini glue dot to the back of the knot to hold it in place. You can then add dimensionals to the back or adhere it down onto the card.

The butterfly is stamped on Daffodil Delight with Hello Honey. Cut it out with the paper snips and add it with a piece of Dimensionals.

AND I HAVE to have bling! So, I colored the flowers and the butterfly with clear Wink of Stella.

So, if you haven't looked at Pinterest, check it out, before OR after trying this project. Shake it up by making it your own, different stamps, colors, omissions, additions, or whatever. Just have fun!!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!
