scraps and stamps

Do you have small scraps of cardstock and small stamps that you want to use? I am getting better at NOT hanging on to every little piece of scrap, but while I am stamping, why not use it if you can. Here is how I used a couple of pieces with some small stamps that I wanted to use. This also saves quite a bit of time.

Position your stamps on to the cardstock. Remember to place them down as if you were going to stamp them.

Lie you clear block on top and press down so the stamps will stick as usual. You are now ready to stamp onto the scraps, just as you had positioned them.

I hope this helps you out, too. I am sure I am not the first to have done this, but I sure felt good when I thought of it! Stamping once instead of three times for these images AND using scraps that I might not have done before.

Have a great crafting day and thanks for stopping by!

SU and Graphic 45

You know I love my Stampin' Up products! I also love the Graphic 45 line of papers and they work so well with the SU cardstock!

In December, I purchased the 8x8 Time To Flourish paper pad from Graphic 45 to create a calendar. Here is a link to show you how that is done: Calendar

I had a lot of the papers left over so decided to create a card from each month. I used SU cardstock for each card base and also for the matting of each piece. Here is what I made:

AND there is still more to use on other projects. I know I want to make another calendar and maybe another set of cards from each month. I am not sure even that will use everything up!

I hope you enjoy seeing these. I just wish I could show the wonderful color! It is actually so vibrant.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Snowman Pocket Letter with mini

I am having so much fun swapping pocket letters and this is actually one of my favorite. I normally share only SU product samples, but this was too fun to keep off my blog! I hope you enjoy it, too.

This swap was a snowman theme as you have probably guessed. It is very simple, but I enjoyed creating it all the same. The center pocket is actually a shaker card with glitter and the parts of Frosty that don't melt. :) If you have never seen these, each pocket holds a small gift for the recipient. IE: paper clip, bits of washi tape, ribbon, etc. One of the pockets holds a note to your swapping pal.

I did add glitter tape along the spine after I took this picture.

But here was the really fun part about this swap! I made my first MINI pocket!

This is the size of one of the pockets and I added it to the spine of the larger one as a charm! I used a baseball sleeve and my Fuse tool. These are pretty thin so you have to be quick so you don't heat all the way through. I think using one of the pages cut apart would probably work better.

I am off to create one with a Valentine's theme!!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!
