Dble Tri-fold

Another FUN card. Decide on the size of card you want. This one is the standard 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Cut out two card bases and score down the middle like you normally would do. Take one of them and cut a window out 1 1/4" in from all sides. On the second card score down the middle again (for this example, I scored at 4 1/4" and at 2 1/8". On the other end of the same piece, cut a block out measuring 1 1/4" x [one fourth of the card(mine at 2 1/8")]. This created the box to go through the front window. Tape the other end to the inside of the standard folded card base matching the edge to the center fold of the card base. Cut two pieces of DSP to frame the window on the inside and out, six pieces (again, mine were 1 7/8" x 4") to place on the inside panels and decorate as you wish.

Ruffled Scarf

Just thought I would share one of the scarves I made. They are so quick and easy. The hardest part has been finding the yarn! Guess everyone else is creating them also.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

St. Patty

This card is really simple and quick. Punch out four hearts from the Full Heart Punch (119883) from Garden Green cardstock. Using the Big Shot (113439) and the Top Note Die (113463), cut out the Gold cardstock. The card base is also garden green. I then took the piece that I punched the heart from and using the Paper Snips (103579), cut the stem from around one side of the cut out. The sentiment is punched out of the gold cardstock with the Ticket Duo Builder punch (126883). Sponge (101610) around the edges of all the pieces and put it all together.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Hootie

Being an owl collector, you know I had to try this one. It makes me smile everytime I see it, so I have it where I can enjoy it whenever!

The body is created with a 2 3/4" x 8 1/2" cardstock, scored at 4 1/4". Using the 2 1/2" punch (120906), punch out half circles from each end to create the "ears" which are actually tufts.   (I find it easier to fold the scored area of a project before running through an embossing folder.) Run through the Big Shot (113439) with the Fancy Fan Folder (127751) to create the look of feathers. Fold in half and tape together. The chest is 2 3/4" x 2" DSP and partial circles cut out for the wings. Attach to the very bottom of the body. The eyes are created with the 1 1/4" scallop, 1" and 3/4" circle punches (127811, 119868, and 119873). I also used the White Gel pen (105021) to mark small crescents on the eye. The nose/beak is actually the small heart punch (117193) place under the eyes and over the chest.

You can add a mini candy bar as I did, or another small treat in this cute pocket card.

Enjoy and have a great day! We are enjoying some much needed moisture! Thanks for stopping by!

Here is another Valentine card that I made with some retired products. You know, I have to use them sometimes, too. The sentiment is actually from the Spring catalog, though.

Clearly Creative Lamp

I have to share my lamp from PartyLite (P95519). It was a lot bigger than I expected. You know those measurements in catalogs never register with me! After I decided to add my owl figurine to the hurricane base, I love it even more than I thought I would! The shade holds three tealight candles or you can use just the base with a pillar candle. The pieces are also sold seperately and the base comes with a bracket to hold the pillar.

You can earn this lamp FREE with hostess points, rewards, or even purchase it at half price with a $50 order Just put my name in as the hostess when you order on line. Check out my site by clicking here . Contact me if you have any questions or would like to host a show. Online and Book partys work just as well as a home show.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Heart treat card

This card uses one of the retired heart shaped Treat cups. The circle Treat Cups (116802) are still available in the SU catalog. I actually put a foil wrapped heart candy inside this one after I took the picture. This is a 3x3 card and when you pull the tab, the back of the the treat cup is open, and you can see the message on the inside of the card.

Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by for a visit!

Mail!

I had a terrible time getting a clear picture of this project. This was the best of the bunch. It may be because it is so small. To give you a size, the flag arm is actually the window punch (119857), and the box is just large enough to hold a chocolate treasure bar.

Here is how I created it: Mailbox: cardstock 4 1/2" x 1 1/2", scored at 3/4" and 3 1/2"
                                                        designer paper: 4 1/2" x 1 1/4"
Base with ends: cardstock 3 1/2" x 1", scored at 1" and corners rounded.
Attach the DSP to the mailbox piece. Fold at scores and wrap around the base. Fold up 1" end and using a half of a window punch attach the back flap to the mailbox, closing this end.  Using a mini brad to hold the flag, decorate as desired.

Enjoy and thanks for visiting!

Mini candy bar pop up

I thought this would be a fun Valentine's card for my grandaughter to create for her class. She thinks so, too. I had fun creating the pattern, too. Sometimes the creative juices decide to flow smoothly!

Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 2 3/4" x 11", scored at 3 1/4", 3 3/4", 7 1/4", and 7 1/2". Crease each fold with a bone folder (102300). On the 2 3/4" end punch a hole about a half inch in with the scallop oval punch (119856), and taping on the end with SNAIL (104332), attach it 1/4"down from the center fold.

Cut a strip of matching cardstock 1"x 6", scored at 2 3/4" and 3". Crease with the bone folder. Using glue dots (103683) attach the mini candy bar to the 3" end and place into the hole made with the punch. Then using glue dots on the opposite end, attach it to the center of the top of the lid.

When you close the card, the candy bar will hide in the hole. Decorate as desired and use a thin velcro adhesive dot to hold the card closed. These can be found in the sewing section of some retail stores, although you will need to cut or punch them to create a small dot.

Enjoy and have a great day AND thanks for stopping by!

Like so many, I have decided to add another job to my life. I am now also a PartLite consultant!!! You will see my site button to the right. I hope that you will check it out!!! This company is great and I LOVE their products. When I am not papercrafting, I like to sit and relax with my candles burning.
