Haunted Hill

Ok, so, Happy Halloween! This will be my last one for this years holiday. Everything I used has been retired except the card stock, but you may have all of it in your stash, too.

The card base is Pumpkin Pie with DSP as the mat. I used a large circle cut out to stamp the tree and haunted house onto with black ink. I also sponged around the edge with Pumpkin Pie. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on black and stamped the pumpkins with pumpkin pie, before tearing the piece and placing it on the card with dimensionals. That is it :)

This was one of my favorites this season, so hope you enjoyed it, too.

Keep you and yours safe tonight, and keep your pets safe, too, by keeping them inside.

Have a safe and fun Halloween and thanks for stopping by!

Whooooo Halloween

One more Halloween card using the Among the Branches set and the Woodland embossing folder. Guess I have got my money's worth out of these two products plus!

Emboss the cover of a Whisper White card base, and sponge the trees with Smokey Slate using a sponge wedge or a dauber. Stamp a sentiment on a scrap piece and attach to the bottom. Add ribbon or washi tape. With the circle dies, you will need to choose the size needed for the image, one the next size up, and another two sizes more. Use the largest one to cut a circle out of the center of the cover.

Then cut the smallest one from a Whisper White. Place it on the inside of the card, through the larger opening, close to the one side. Holding it in place or put just a small dot of adhesive to hold it in place, stamp the branch with Smoky Slate. Stamp the owl with Momento Black and remove. Cut out a Basic Black the next size up and place it behind the image. Line up the branches and attach to the inside of the card, again doing so through the cover circle.

NOTE: You can also do this on two pieces of white cardstock, attaching one on top of the other, then mount it onto a Basic Black card base.

Hope you have enjoyed your visit. Thanks for stopping by! Happy Craftin' !

Halloween Crows

First, let me tell you that I just created a Christmas card that I sooooo want to share with you! BUT, I still have a couple more Halloween cards and I am telling myself that they have to be shared first! Especially since Halloween is only a couple of days away! How did that happen?????

So here is my next share:

To create this card, I used a Pumpkin Pie base with a black mat underneath the image. I then pulled out my brayer and Woodland embossing folder (of course), along with the ink pads, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip. Punch a 2" circle from a post it and position it on the folder side where you want the moon to be. Brayer the Daffodil Delight, starting at the bottom of the trees working all the way up the trees, then Pumpkin Pie up two thirds of the way and ending with the CC about a third of the way (this will be the bottom of the card).

NOTE: I have explained in other posts how to do this technique. If you missed it, you can find it here.

Remove the post it and insert the Daffodil Delight card stock. Run this through the Big Shot. Using a sponge or dauber, add smokey slate ink to the raised trees. The crows are stamped from the Among the Branches set with Momento Black ink.

I used Teeny Tiny Wishes to stamp the sentiment, also with the black ink, onto Pumpkin Pie card stock and punched it out with the word window punch. It is hard to see in the photo, but it is also matted with black card stock. This can be achieved in one of two ways: 1. adhere the sentiment piece to a scrap piece of card stock and cut around it, using the paper snips. OR 2. punch out another word window and cut it in four pieces and adhere to the back of the sentiment, leaving tiny gaps between the pieces (which aren't really noticeable.

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a great day!!!!

Halloween Favor

This is a quick and fun project to create. Using the pillow die (we now have one in the SU with a wider shape!!!), cut out the pillows from Whisper White. Stamp spiders from the A Little Something stamp set (this set will get you through the year, easily!) Create the pillow and add the goodies. Mine were for office workers, so I added a chocolate (of course!), post it pad, and a few shaped paperclips. (Those reindeer clips would be perfect for the Christmas pillows!)

Using the Fine Tip Glue Pen, add the Spider Web Doily. I then added a sentiment piece with dimensionals and although this one doesn't show it, I later added a small ghost to the right side of the sentiment.

I find it so hard to believe that this month is almost over!! Have a great day and enjoy every moment!

Thanks for stopping by!

Peek a BOO

I have again used the Woodland Embossing Folder and the Among the Branches stamp set. Don't forget that these can be purchased as a bundle, saving 15%!

The base is Smokey Slate and run through the folder. I then lightly sponged the trees with the same ink color. The owl, crow, and eyes use the same ink. Using the Halloween doily and the Fine-tip Glue pen (LOVE these two products!), I positioned the doily on the corner of the card, then trimmed off the extra with my paper snips. Add a strip of ribbon and the sentiment, stamped on Whisper White with Pumpkin Pie ink. Punch it out with the 2" Circle Punch. Use the Build an Owl punch body, trimming off the legs to form the ghost, and color in the "face". Attach it to the back of the sentiment and using dimensionals, add it to the corner. Tie a small bow in a piece of Baker's Twine and add to the circle with a glue dot. (NOTE: I roll the dot in half , then place behind the knot, trying not to touch with your fingers, too much. I actually use my piercing tool.)

And that is all there is to it! Love quick and easy!!!

Want some more GREAT information?????? ALL stamp sets are on sale at 15% off! Check it out!!

Haunt Ya Later in the Woodland

Okay, I am back on track and getting my Halloween cards created! Had to share this one with everyone! I don't usually order or use what I call the "cutesy" stamp sets, but just couldn't pass this one up! You probably already know that the Woodland embossing folder is one of my favorites and you know you will be seeing much more of this one! Both of these items are available in the new Holiday catalog!!

Want to order your own sets? Click on the catalog to the right. It will take you to the Stampin' Up site and all you have to do is click on the Holiday catalog and enjoy shopping! I would appreciate it if you would enter my name as your demonstrator, if you don't already have one. Allow me to contact you (the form will ask if this is okay) and I will send you a thank you plus your own catalog, if you would like one.

Okay, back to the card.... The base is Basic Grey. The mat is Whisper White and before embossing, use the brayer to ink up the Woodland embossing folder with Smokey Slate (the side with the Sizzix printed on it). Emboss, then stamp the owl from the Among the Branches set (Love this versatile set, too!) For the moon, stamp the image from the same set on to Whisper White and punch out with a 2" circle. Sponge with Pumpkin Pie around the edge. Add it to the mat.

Using the new Basic Black (LOVE this for coloring with markers or watercoloring!!! No bleeding! It is permanent. So is the new Basic Grey, both in the Holiday catalog!), stamp and color the images from the Haunt Ya Later set. Cut each one out with the paper snips (LOVE these, too! They are great to do fine clipping!) Add these images to the card with dimensionals.

Bet you have noticed that I LOVE the new Holiday catalog. :) I hope that you have enjoyed this post and thank you for stopping by! Let me know if you have any questions.

Haunting Woods

Seems I am making more Christmas cards than anything right now, so am way behind on this holiday. That is very unusual because Halloween is one of my favorite.

This fun card was created with the new Woodland embossing folder from the new holiday catalog. I have used this one a lot already and will be sharing more samples in the future.

This card base is Pumpkin Pie with the mat of Elegant Eggplant.

Punch out a 1 3/8" circle from a post it and add it to the folder, on the side with the Sizzix print. Then brayer a layer of Daffodil Delight towards the open end, then Pumpkin Pie toward the middle and Elegant Eggplant on the inside near the fold. Pull off the post it circle. Ink up the image with Elegant Eggplant and stamp, lining up the moon on the stamp with the uninked area created under the post it. (I used a retired stamp set, but any image will work.)

Place the whisper white cardstock on the uninked side of the folder, lining up so that the scene will ink in the position you want, and run through the big shot.

This is so much fun that I have created other scenes (one with deer, for example), and I hope you will give it a try.

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!
