I sort of used Tanya Bell's measurements to create this card, but it was still larger than I wanted, so I used some of my decorative scissors to cut it down.
This is my version of a standard size card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").
( I was informed by a housemate that Christmas is over :) )
Here is my pattern for the one created in previous posts with notations to make this standard size card in a box.
POP-UP CARD IN A BOX (5"x6 ½" card) [ A-2 - (4 1/4" x 5 ½" ) sizes in brackets]
Score 8 ½" x 11 [8 ½" x9"] card stock at 2 ½", 5", 7 ½", and 10" [2 1/8, 4 1/4, 6 3/8, and 8 ½ ]
Cut a 2" x 11" [3"x 9"] piece off. With the tab at one end, cut off a 4 ½"[3 1/8"] piece. Trim
1/4" off each end to make 2" by 4"
piece. Then cut this piece in half. This
will give you two 1" x 4" pieces.
[Cut two pieces from the 3" x 3 1/8"
piece measuring 3/4" x 3 1/8"]
1/4" off each end to make 2" by 4"
piece. Then cut this piece in half. This
will give you two 1" x 4" pieces.
[Cut two pieces from the 3" x 3 1/8"
piece measuring 3/4" x 3 1/8"]
Score the 6 ½" x 11"[5 ½ x 9] piece at 2 3/4"[2 ½ ]. Cut these to form the box flaps. On the
1" [½ ]tab, cut the smaller piece off at an angle. This tab will form the box when taped together.

From DSP cut: 1 pc @ 6 1/4" x 2 1/4" (inside back of box) [5 1/4 x 1 7/8]
6 @ 2 ½" x 2 1/4" (Both sides of flaps) [2 1/4 x 1 7/8]
3 @ 3 ½" x 2 1/4" (Bottom sides of box) [2 3/4 x 1 7/8]
6 @ 2 ½" x 2 1/4" (Both sides of flaps) [2 1/4 x 1 7/8]
3 @ 3 ½" x 2 1/4" (Bottom sides of box) [2 3/4 x 1 7/8]
Attach them to the box as shown:
Inside of Box
Outside of box.
Using score tape on the tab, form the box.
Using score tape, position the small strips on the inside of the box:
Fold the box flat to the right, then to the left, creasing the scores sharply with a bone folder. See picture -> This creates a flat card to insert in an envelope.
Decorate as desired, attaching cut outs to strips.

Create envelope or liner to match.
I hope this all makes sense, because it really isn't difficult. If you have any questions, just let me know!
