Single Layer

Sometimes a card just doesn't need layers and this is one of those. Place an oval mask on the card base and stamp a written word background stamp in Soft Suede ink. Then using a sponge or dauber, sponge around the edge of the oval mask and remove the mask. Using a simple outline stamp, like Serene Silhouettes (127322) stamp the plant with Basic Black ink. I then just inked the bottom of the stamp a few more times lightly and stamped again. Place a bit of green ink on a sponge or dauber and dab over the base of the stamped area. Using Soft Suede again, ink your sentiment and place up in the corner and you are finished.

Watercolor Stain

This is watercoloring pushed up a notch. Stamp your image with versamark and emboss with white embossing powder, then watercolor. I also added Crystal Effects after it dried. Instead of the usual watercolor white paper, I used Soft Suede. SU's colored cardstock is sturdy enough to hold up to watercoloring, if you don't get too carried away with the water, and it gives it an added effect.

Happy Easter Egg Card
