Mini candy bar pop up
I thought this would be a fun Valentine's card for my grandaughter to create for her class. She thinks so, too. I had fun creating the pattern, too. Sometimes the creative juices decide to flow smoothly!
Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 2 3/4" x 11", scored at 3 1/4", 3 3/4", 7 1/4", and 7 1/2". Crease each fold with a bone folder (102300). On the 2 3/4" end punch a hole about a half inch in with the scallop oval punch (119856), and taping on the end with SNAIL (104332), attach it 1/4"down from the center fold.
Cut a strip of matching cardstock 1"x 6", scored at 2 3/4" and 3". Crease with the bone folder. Using glue dots (103683) attach the mini candy bar to the 3" end and place into the hole made with the punch. Then using glue dots on the opposite end, attach it to the center of the top of the lid.
When you close the card, the candy bar will hide in the hole. Decorate as desired and use a thin velcro adhesive dot to hold the card closed. These can be found in the sewing section of some retail stores, although you will need to cut or punch them to create a small dot.
Enjoy and have a great day AND thanks for stopping by!
