Jack's Wreath

This idea came from a fellow demonstrator, Tracy Elsom. Isn't it a great one? She actually used the Wondrous Wreath Stamp set in the Holiday catalog. Thank you Tracy for your great inspiration!

I used some of my retired projects as well as current ones on this one. The base of the card is Tangerine Tango cardstock, matted with black cardstock then the Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper (available in the Holiday catalog). One of these sheets reminded me of a scrapbook page, so I chose the area that I wanted to use on my card.

I punched out a black background for my wreath with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch. I stamped the wreath set from my retired set, Four Seasons, with black on Tangerine Tango, then used the same punch as before to punch it out. The center is punched out with the 7/8" scallop punch. I punched out 1/2" circles and hand drew faces with the basic black marker then using glue dots placed them on the wreath. (You want to do this step as soon as possible to give the ink plenty of time to dry.) I was given some of these little bows as a gift, so thought it went great with my wreath. You could use any 1/4" ribbon to tie a bow. Attach the wreath to the black scallop circle so that the scallops are aligned between the scallops of the wreath. I added dimensionals to the back of the wreath and attached it to my card.

The sentiment is from retired Wacky Wishes and stamped with black on Tangerine Tango, mounted on Basic Black cardstock, then taped to the card. The pumpkin is three of the Small Oval Punch shapes punched out of Tangerine Tango and sponged around with the same color of ink, then layered to form the pumpkin. The stem is from the Build A Bird punch with Old Olive cardstock. I also took the same color of marker and drew the veins on the leaves, then attached it to the pumpkin and used dimensionals to attach it to the card.

Now carefully add Crystal Effects to the Jack-O-Lanterns and set aside to dry.
