Sooooo Simple Carols of Christmas

This idea came from Kate Martin's beautiful layered card, but I decided to try something similar with a single layered card.

I know this one looks a bit warped, but that is the trick of the camera. Or maybe it is my camera skills. Anyway, on with the important stuff.

The Whisper White card base is masked on the top and sides by 1/4". Stamp the ornaments from Carols of Christmas one set at a time with VersaMark. I embossed the first set in silver, the second set in gold, etc. Pull the pieces of masking off and pull out the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape. (I sure hope this carries over to the next season, but will order extra, just in case!)

Create the frame with the gold washi, overlapping the ends for a clean look. Burnish with the Bone Folder to make sure it sticks well.

The sentiment is actually gold embossed on a scrap piece and cut out with the Paper Snips. It comes from the Seasonal Bells set. Decide where you want to position it and lie down a strip of the silver washi tape, burnishing again. Add mini dimensionals to the flag ends and a regular dimensional to the center of the sentiment and position over the silver washi tape.

That is it!!! You have a simple and elegant card. I continued the gold and silver to the sentiment on the inside, too.

Hope you enjoyed your visit. Thanks so much for stopping by!
