Handled Box

I love how this box turned out and will be making a lot more of them for gifts with goodies in them. I hope these instructions make sense. I used a table graph to represent the card stock rather than taking pictures, so if you have any questions, just let me know.

CARDSTOCK: 8 ½” x 11”

Score @ 2 3/8”, 4 ¾”, 7 1/8”, 9 ½”

Score short ends at 2 3/8” each

Cut out two squares from 7 1/8” score to 11” edge on each side.

Cut small triangle slits out from the center blocks to score line to form box ends.

Fold all scores and form box.

Flap Strap: 1” x 5 ½”

Score @ 2 18”, 4 ½”

Handle: 1” x 6”

Score @ ¾” on each end

Designer Paper: ends: (2) 2 1/8” x 2 18”; sides and inside of flap:(4) 2 x 3 12”; flap:1 ¼” x 3 ½”;

handle: ¾” x  5 ¾”; flap strap: ¾” 5 ¼”

Cover handle, strap, ends, top and front with DSP. Attach handle with brads then cover inside flap with DSP. Attach brad to front of strap for decoration. Attach strap to back of box and cover back with DSP. Add thin Velcro to end of strap and box  for closure.

I hope you will give this quick and easy project a try. Thanks for stopping by!
